There is a lot to be excited
about here at the International Institute of Cosmetology! We've recently been named a top honoree in MODERN SALON
Media’s national 2014 Excellence in Education competition now in its 5th year
recognizing leadership and best practices among cosmetology schools around the
country.
The Wethersfield school won top honors
in the category of Next Level: Advanced Education & Alumni Programs.
IIC was selected from hundreds of applicants from throughout the country and is
the only Connecticut cosmetology school to be honored in the competition.
IIC’s Plainville campus also was
honored for the quality of its Facility
in the category of individual location with less than 75 students. MODERN
SALON publisher, Steve Reiss, announced the recipients during the Annual Conference
of the American Association of Cosmetology Schools last month in Phoenix,
Arizona.
IIC received this amazing honor because of the
high quality of its faculty as well as because of its commitment to
bring guest educators from around the world to present their techniques and
unique fashion trends. The school has hosted world-renown stylists such as
Wayne Lloyd from Ireland, Tindaro Orifici and Pier Fillipo from Italy, Daniel
Lozada from Puerto Rico, and Amanda Cassidy from Virginia.

Guest educators provide lectures,
demonstrations, and hands-on workshops for students and alumni. “Through our
international guest educators, we provide an experience that truly cannot be
had anywhere else,” says Martin Gugliotti, IIC’s dean of students.
