International Institute of Cosmetology's fall career fair was held yesterday in the student salon. All phases of the Plainville cosmetology program had a chance to learn about careers with Great Clips from their representative, Machelle, and Hair Gallery, with representative Katie. Next week's Wethersfield career fair will take place at 9:15 AM on Wednesday, November 16th. We can't wait to welcome Image Salon, Great Clips, Artistic Design, and Matthew Philips Salon, and learn more about them. Congratulations to Zujeidy, an International Institute of Cosmetology graduate, on becoming an Orlando Regional Finalist for this year's Sebastian What's Next Awards.

Zujeidy, who will complete her 1500th and final hour of IIC's cosmetology program next month, submitted her design and was selected to be a finalist in the Orlando regionals. We can't wait to see her design come to life again on model, Alexsa, a Phase 2 Future Stylist at IIC.

Congratulations to International Institute of Cosmetology students for being awarded Young Talent 2016 this weekend! Winners were announced in Paris at the OMC Europe Cup Reception of the Nations. Submissions were judged by International OMC jury panel, and announced Saturday, August 10th.

First place winner of the Young Talent 2016 award, Ashley Kraushaar, says that past collections served as inspiration, as well as guidance from OMC competition trainer Ronnie Hawkins. We are so proud of all of our winners, semi-finalists, and students who entered the competition! Your success and talent is inspiring, and we can't wait to see where else your dreams take you.
