2013 I.I.C. Graduation Ceremony & Hair Show
When you think of graduations, do you think of boring speeches, waiting forever to hear you name called, those ugly robes and unfashionable hats?? Well not at our school! Every year the Gugliotti Family throws a huge celebration of their students accomplishments and this year tops them all! There were 4 fashion shows that included our students work, our instructors works and our 3 guest artists that came to celebrate.
Here are some highlights of this years student fashion show to start it off...
Impressive huh? These students are reaching far beyond what most students just out of Cosmetology school can do. It's really mind blowing!
I love that they had a bridal aspect of the show too. It's great that they are not typical bridal up do's, the different looks were intricate and fun. Here's a few...

We had some wonderful inspiring speeches that were given by Carmelo Gugliotti who is the Director of the School, 2 Students from each campus that told of their experience at I.I.C and also 2 guests speakers that have pretty impressive resumes that gave words of wisdom and advice to our recent graduates.

So another cool thing about our school is that we invite international guests to come and teach current students and our alumni as well. Here is Daniel Lozada. He's a very talented stylist that has 13 years experience. He is well-known from runway competitions, photo shoots for local as well as international publications, music videos and countless more industry projects. He was most recently on the July 2013 cover of American Salon and worked with the 4th season Project runway Winner

Then there was also 2 other very talented guest artists that are from the states. Amanda Cassidy is from Virginia and has been a salon owner,educator, and hairstylist for over 30 years. She has been a 7 time USA team member representing the United States in the world championships of hairdressing in LasVegas, Russia,Chicago,Paris and Milan. She has also been a 3 time European Championship medalist, as well as a 3 time world championship medalist. Amanda also sits as a judge for USA national hair styling competitions.

Rick Quessenberry is from Springfield MO and has been a salon owner since the age of 19. He also began competing at that age because of mentors Gary and Deanna McCord who owned the cosmetology school he attended. Since then he has won over 400 awards in state, national and international competition. Since retiring from competition, he has become a certified OMC juror and won the platinum award given to jurors for their fair and accurate judging skills. He's been on 6 world hairdressing teams and trained the 2002 team. He won the World Supreme trophy twice and the America's cup twice just to name a few. He's had a love affair with hair for 41 years and still loves going to work every day.
